About Casa Balbi

This beautiful property is on 10 acres in the mountains of Monteverde. It was a dairy farm created by the late Mrs. Balbina Redondo, the founder, who had a dream and a vision. She hosted visitors when she had cattle and a small farm with various animals in the 80s and 90s. In 2010, my father and I moved to Monteverde to build and remodel the bodegas, and to design modern housing for travelers wanting to continue the dream that our loved one had for many years. We continued to build Casa Balbi, casitas that are built in a unique setting, and that offers rustic-elegant vacation homes. The casitas and studios (4 in total) have been very well received by international travelers and nature lovers from all over the world. Casa Balbi has grown into a perfect place for explorers to use as a hub while visiting the biological reserves in the area.

As we pass these tough times with less mass travel and more social distancing, we are ready to offer modern travelers their own nature bubble. We care about the environment and our local community, we support the ECOPAZ Park that borders our property, which has been reforesting local species of native trees and hosting educational programs.
